EVANSTON TOWNSHIP HS LAUNCHES UPGRADED ADVANCED MANUFACTURING LAB
Township educators, manufacturing company partners, students, government officials and friends cut the ribbon on November 10, 2015 on modern facilities designed to better prepare students for manufacturing-related college and career options. Manufacturing Renaissance helped design the facility, and provided a machining curriculum to help its students earn NIMS credentials, all developed from its experience at the nationally-recognized Manufacturing Connect program at Austin Polytechnical Academy in Chicago. “We congratulate the entire Evanston team, but especially celebrate the leadership of CTE Department Chair Shelly Gates and the ETHS Education Foundation, who were indispensable in making this happen. MR is pleased that success in rebuilding our manufacturing education infrastructure continues to spread.”, commented Dan Swinney, MR’s Executive Director. For more on the Evanston announcement.
