October 7th was Manufacturing Day and CMRC members were out and about in our communities like usual to help get the word out about manufacturing. On the West Side, about 120 students from Austin College and Career Academy and Spencer Elementary Technology Academy participated in three simultaneous events with local manufacturing companies and at an MC school year launch event at the ACCA. We’d like to thank Freedman Seating, Laystrom Manufacturing and Design House for providing our students with memorable Manufacturing Day experiences. Take a look at some of the exciting scenes from MC Manufacturing Day activities.
In the Southland, over 350 students from 19 schools visited 22 companies and 2 colleges. 15 of the companies who hosted tours will continue ongoing year-long mentorship and sponsorship of their local High School through the Southworks Robotics Olympics.
