M3C PARTICIPANT EARNS POSSE 4-YEAR SCHOLARSHIP

Manufacturing Career & College Connect (M3C) senior Jervon Adams, pictured on the right, has just earned the competitive POSSE Foundation Scholarship with fellow student DeShawn Adams (no relation, pictured on the left). Both youth men have earned a 4-year scholarship to prestigious Trinity College in Connecticut. Jervon worked closely with Ms. Barnett, M3C Post-secondary Coach to prepare the POSSE application materials and for the multiple interviews required to apply for this nationally-recognized scholarship program. Both young men have plans to study engineering.

A small and growing group of community development and community-based organizational leaders are creating a network called the New Chicago School of Community Economic Development.
