Manufacturing Renaissance is honored that the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership renewed its support for our Manufacturing Connect program. We look forward to continue inspire, prepare and support youth for careers in manufacturing. This grant will cover our work for the upcoming school year at Austin College & Career Academy. Under the previous grant, which had a time frame of 6 moths, 29 Manufacturing Connect Juniors and Seniors earned industry credentials in Materials, Measurement and Safety and Computer Numerical Control Turning from the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS). Our youth also did Job Shadows and paid Spring Break Internships at various manufacturing companies.
